According to Gallagher’s 2023 Career Wellbeing report, many employers are blissfully unaware of their employees’ disengagement. Despite a growing focus on career well-being, it remains the neglected child of emotional, financial, and physical well-being. Only 4 in 10 employers actually give a hoot about career development, and worse yet, over half of them haven’t conducted employee engagement surveys in the past two years.
Employers, it’s time for some serious change and heart-to-hearts because your workforce is tiptoeing out the door. With 58% of employees eyeing a career change, it’s high noon for flexibility, a healthy work environment, and a hefty dose of recognition. The clock is ticking!
